

Challenge:
Capitoline has become a beloved fixture on the Asbury Park restaurant scene, with its rustic, affordable Italian comfort food and casual dining ambiance. Throughout the last couple of years, several upgrades have been made to suit the needs of the growing Jersey Shore community, including upgraded seating and HVAC and ventilation systems, and a more focused and mature vision held by the new Director of Food & Beverage, Sergio Casal.
Capitoline needed to garner attention from those in the community, including other restauranteurs, local media, food bloggers, tourists, and community members to successfully relaunch and separate themselves from the myriad of restaurants along the Jersey Shore. The public needed to be informed about the changes and enticed to bring their business back to Capitoline.
Solution:
Given the many updates that have taken place at Capitoline, including vintage arcade and pinball machines, more robust food options, specialty cocktails, and a newly renovated cocktail-driven lounge and dance area, a general overview of the entire Complex to asses the additions was needed to begin the project.
After a thorough review of the restaurant and an interview with the Director of Operations, Carlie Interrante, Dominique developed an extensive public relations campaign that included:
- A pitch to local journalists containing pictures and a press release.
- Social Media Strategy
- Targeted Instagram boosting utilizing content from the restaurant amplifies the account reach and helps discover a wider audience.
- Media Relations
- Journalist relationships with Asbury Park Press ensure positive and poignant press.
- Event Management
- A relaunch party required a targeted social media push, content creation, and audience outreach.
- Audience engagement
- Follower engagement, comment management, follower requests, and updating tags keep followers interested and committed to the brand.

Results:
Capitoline is now one of the most successful restaurants along the Jersey Shore, with an ever-growing customer base and a celebrity endorsement from Chef Guy Fieri.
Follower growth for a single boosted Instagram post has increased by 1.8% in five days, and mentions and tags of Capitoline have seen an increase of 8.4% overall.
Major news publication Asbury Park Press published a feature article and photoshoot about Capitoline both online and in print, leading to a huge increase in awareness, customer retention, and positive reader reaction.
